Sephora is a Chicago-based medical device firm that is developing augmented reality technology for spine surgery. Healthcare expert Tim Murawski serves as president and chief commercial officer of Octamed, which was founded in 2012. He has worked as a corporate executive and biotechnology expert for a number of decades. Tim Murawski states that the medical equipment industry provided him with a number of top management positions prior to his appointment as a consultant with Augmedics in June this year.
Prior to being elevated to the position of vice president of U.S. accounts, he worked as Mazor’s regional sales director in the United Kingdom and Ireland. His promotion to vice president of Global Renaissance business was announced in August 2017 after he had been in that role for eighteen months. Before Medtronic purchased Mazor for $1.6 billion in 2018, Tim Murawski played an important role in the company’s growth.
Murawski earned a bachelor’s degree in operations management and supervision from Western Illinois University, where he majored in business administration. A large chemical company’s research and development facility hired him to work in their purchasing department, where he began his professional career at Mazor Robotics. Tim Murawksi came to the conclusion fairly quickly that sales was the career path he wanted to pursue. As a territory sales manager in the IV sales division of Baxter International Inc., he began his medical device sales career in the field of medical devices. There were sales of the company’s needleless IV products, which were unique in the industry.
